Ever since I was a little girl, I always made sure to put some sort of game on my Christmas wishlist. Most of the time, I wouldn’t get the item I asked for because back then stuff was expensive and my parents had 3 other kids to think about too. Now that I am a gaming mom in her 30’s, I look forward to giving my own kids video games for Christmas because I know how exciting it can be.
If you have a gamer in your life, consider these gift options this holiday season:

Xbox One
The Xbox One still happens to be a top item on the lists of many gamers all over the world. Microsoft deems it “the world’s most powerful gaming console“. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen as I have not personally tried one out but may eventually do so down the road. I have heard many good things. You can find some really awesome Xbox One deals online if you look hard enough. Just be sure to grab an extra controller or two to have on hand in case other family members want to play or something goes wrong with the one you have.
Minecraft
To go with the Xbox One, consider Minecraft. This game is still pretty popular. My husband and youngest daughter both love it. They can spend hours playing it alone or together and it’s very family friendly. You can take creativity to a whole new level inside the Minecraft world. Just watch out for the Creepers! Hehe. You can pick up a copy of it on Amazon for pretty cheap.
Xbox Live Gold 12 Month Membership
If you want to get the most out of your Xbox One, having Xbox Live to play online with friends and family is crucial. Even if you don’t play games online regularly, there’s still a lot of value that comes with this subscription.
Xbox One Chatpad
I can’t even begin to express in words how painfully annoying it is to use a controller to type out a message. It… goes… so… slow. Thanks to the Chatpad it makes it so much easier to type out messages because sometimes a voice message just won’t do. Sending messages is a snap, even in the dark thanks to the backlit mini-keyboard. Sending longer messages to friends or redeeming one of the Xbox One’s insane 25-character redemption codes is a heck of a lot easier with this sweet add-on that fits flush with your controller.
If you don’t know what gift to get that special gamer in your life this holiday season, consider the Xbox One. Any kid (or adult who is a kid at heart) will love seeing this under their Christmas tree this holiday season.
