A Garden Designed For Family Fun

It’s very common for people to neglect their gardens. So many gardens aren’t put to the use that they could be, with flare and character that’s suited to any family. We often think it’s because most people spend their time in the house, not enough like to sit outside and enjoy the different elements of weather that we have, even if that means sitting under the veranda and watching a storm pass by. We also know that having a garden that has had some work to it, and almost looks like it could be worthy of a show home, can increase the value so quickly. Plus, if you have a family you’ll no doubt want your children to be outdoors and playing as much as possible, not cooped up inside! So, we want to show you how you can get a garden that’s suitable for the whole family if you feel yours is not at the minute.

The Big Tidy Up

If you know you’ve neglected your garden for a while now it might be time to go for a big tidy up. You need to be able to clear the area and go back to basics, and sometimes that means cutting down dead bushes, getting rid of the weeds, and mowing the lawn to make it look more like a garden. You might even have a garden shed that you’ve only opened to shove more things in there. Why not have a big clean out of that and make space for new things to come in. Once you get your garden looking nice and tidy it’ll be easier to come up with a vision of what you’d like to do with it. Be it a family garden, one built for relaxation, or perhaps you’ll make way for a completely new landscape to be put in. There are so many things you can do with a garden!

The Big Change-Up

Talking of landscaping your garden and adding in new things, why not think about a big project to completely change the look of your garden. If you have a small garden to work with then this might be ideal for you. You can take the time to create a space that truly works for you. You can also think about simple additions that add more character to your garden, such as an ecology block wall or perhaps a new water feature. We know that renovating a garden like this can be rather pricey, but the reward you’ll get from it will be great and it can add value to your home.

Child & Adult Friendly

Finally, you need to make it both adult and child friendly. For you adults, you might like a relaxation area under a veranda. Outdoor furniture, a hammock perhaps, a nice BBQ ready to host nice food. For your kids, you might like to get an outdoor jungle gym. It’s an investment but it’ll get your kids playing outdoors for hours! Or you could paint hopscotch on the floor, buy tons of outdoor games, the list is endless.
