Everyone, no matter what you are going through health-wise, life wise and what not should take health issues very seriously. As someone who suffers from chronic pain on a daily basis, I know it’s important that I do what is necessary to keep up with my health. Do I? Not always. Chronic Degenerative Disease: What is it?
A chronic condition is one that has been present for six months or longer. Not all chronic conditions will lead to disability. However, there are a number of chronic or degenerative conditions that can have a significant effect on a person’s ability to get around and take care of themselves. Common chronic and degenerative conditions that can lead to disability include:
- multiple sclerosis
- Parkinson’s disease
- muscular dystrophy
- Huntington’s disease.

Why Nutrition & Exercise Is Needed For Optimal Health
Many symptoms of any CDD can be treated by making a few small lifestyle changes which include a healthy diet, choosing to no longer smoke and starting an exercise regimen.
Incorporating healthy foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish, lean meats, beans, and healthy fats (eg, olive oil), can help you maintain a normal weight. To get started on a nutritious meal plan, work with a registered dietitian to discuss the best foods to include in your diet.
A regular, gentle exercise routine that incorporates light aerobic, strengthening and flexibility exercises can help you manage degenerative disease symptoms. Work with a personal trainer who has experience helping people with the same condition as you. He or she can show you specific exercises that can help relieve your pain and other symptoms. Consider physical therapy as well.
When you have a chronic condition of any kind, a doctor will usually try to throw a medicine of some kind at you. You cannot and should not depend on just this to get by. All a pill will do is mask the pain or the problem.

Eat & Exercise Based On Your Body Type
This is something I know all too well about. I try the latest fad only to end up disappointed because it did not work for me. After watching one of the Foco Body videos, I learned that my body type is considered Endomorph. Based on this information alone, I will be changing my diet and exercise strategy.
