Chrissy Weems, CEO of Origami Owl

Independent Sales Consultant

A lot of us have heard about the company who sells the beautiful, customizable jewelry called Origami Owl. What a lot of us, however, don’t know is the CEO herself, Chrissy Weems, is pretty amazing too.  She helped her daughter build the company that it is today and loves to pay it forward in any way she can. Any independent sales consultant would be lucky to have Chrissy Weems as their boss. All you need to do in order to become part of this awesome company is sign up on the Origami Owl website.

Midwifery

Midwifery is one of the hardest careers out there that you could go for, but it is the challenge that surrounds it that lures us in the most. We know it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but for those of you who it appeals to, you’re in for a lifelong career full of rewards. You will have the role of bringing new life into the world, but also making sure that the mother is perfectly ok as well. You will work alongside a long list of professionals, and you’ll often find that each day is going to be different for you! You would have to go to midwifery school, but if you’re dedicated enough to return back to education, and you feel you’re going to have a true passion for a career like midwifery, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t go for something like this!

Social Work

Social work is one that you’re either really going to take to the idea of, or it will sound completely crazy to you. It’s the role of dealing with troubled families who need support, and the support they need could be because of anything to do with abuse, to neglect, to financial issues. But you will be helping those who are desperately in need, whether it be the parents or the children. It will be an intense role, and you would have to go to college to study. But the lives you’ll be changing for the better will be more than worth it!

Humanitarian Aid Work

This one is a bit of a calmer role, but one that we really think would appeal to a lot of you reading this. You don’t have to be flying all over the world to remote parts of the world if you don’t want to, but you could be the person organizing it. As long as you have some involvement, and some form of a passion for the people you’re helping, this is the one for you. It’s probably less taxing than the others mentioned, and the pay will vary depending on your role, but knowing you’re helping people less fortunate will be priceless.
